Sunday October 23 at 7pm pacific time, “Salmon Says” Poetry Church, featuring a Q & A with Derrick. The event is an installment in an ongoing art/activism collective. Hosted by Bello Mundo Cafe in downtown San Luis Obispo at 974 Monterey Street.

Newlin Hall at Centre College in Danville, KY. Derrick will speak to the question: “What is Sustainability?” as part of Centre Sustainability Month.
Sunday November 13 at 8pm eastern time, Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Universalist Church in Charlottesville, VA. Derrick, along with Thomas Linzey, Executive Director of the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF), will discuss The Rights of Nature. Derrick and Thomas will be introduced by Tammy Belinsky, a member of the Board of CELDF who lives in Virginia, an attorney with The Environmental Law Group. The subject is directly relevant to the struggle against pipelines everywhere, including the Atlantic Coast Pipeline.
